Collaborating with fellow designer Oliver Hyde, we were tasked with creating the visual identity for new start up online merchandiser 'Vinscovery'. Offering a collection of carefully curated wines from the best independent and small production winemakers.
The approach of Vinscovery's branding is minimalist in character and style. The contemporary sans-serif font accompanies the logo in a friendly balance that holds hidden messages. The logo is a play on the first and last letter used within Vinscovery.
The icon also adopts the delicate identity of a vine within a vineyard. With the ‘Y’ acting as the stalk and the ‘V’ projecting out as if it were a vine leaf. This is encompassed within a circle to represent the social aspect of the company.
The e-commerce website brief was set to create an online shopping experience where-by customers can: learn about different types of wine, improve their knowledge on wine and food pairings, take a tasting palette test and purchase small scale wines not readily available online.
Infographics were the best way to communicate all the unique elements that make up each wine in a visually engaging way. Details such as: grape varieties, wine profile & characteristics, tasting notes, food pairings and wine regions.
